The Holy Week Museum of Tomas Valcarcel, created in 1992, is open every day except Sunday and the week before Easter. The May Fair occurs in May and is one of the most important festivals along the coastline, with preparations beginning in March. There are several summer festivals. In June, the San Juan bonfires are popular. In July, the Seafarer’s festivals and Habaneras festival will provide much entertainment and fun. There is even a festival in August in honor of tourists. The festivals continue into the autumn season, including the Festival of Vendimia in La Mata, the El Pilar festival, Halloween and the festival of All Saints.
